Bio >>> Dr. Fishbein upon completion of his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Vermont went on to do a med-surg-peds internship. He then took those skills to the armed forces serving both in Korea and Fort Dix, New Jersey. It was not until this service was complete that he began his career in ophthalmology. This commenced with his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center followed on by a glaucoma fellowship at Tufts.

His training having drawn to a close he moved to Augusta, Georgia where he has practiced in comprehensive ophthalmology and glaucoma for nearly 40 years. He maintained a long term relationship with the Medical College of Georgia (now Georgia Regents University) and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he was instrumental in instructing many residents in glaucoma and cataract surgery.

After 3 years as an Associate Professor of Surgery/Ophthalmology at Brown University he has returned to Augusta and has joined the ophthalmology staff of Georgia Regents University seeing medical glaucoma and medical comprehensive ophthalmology.
